KAYLENE TAN

As a director, writer and part of the company spell#7, Kaylene has been commissioned by Esplanade Theatres on the Bay, National Gallery Singapore, Singapore Arts Festival, Singapore Biennale, M1 Fringe, Georgetown Festival and collaborated with numerous independent companies and artists. Her headphone theatre production of In the Silence of Your Heart for Esplanade’s Studios Season won Best Sound Design at the 2018 Life! Theatre Awards. Kaylene’s last play, Missing, co-written with filmmaker, K. Rajagopal was performed at the Arts House (Page to Stage Series) and The Godown, Kuala Lumpur (Urbanscapes 2019). More recently, she collaborated with multi-media artist, Brian Gothong Tan in Lost Cinema 20/20.
